 Jorge Barandiaran
As President of Expomex Services,
Jorge has worked as a manager and as an international consultant in trade, resource and
manufacturing industries both in Canada and in Latin America. Jorge has recently returned
to Canada after creating and managing the Sustainable Development program which has a
renewable energy focus for the Institute of the Americas based in California. He graduated
from Universidad del Pacifico in Peru, holds a M.Sc. degree from Durham University Business
School in the UK and a Certificate in Internet Marketing from UBC. His work includes
traveling extensively overseas, mainly in Latin America and Europe, he is fluent in Spanish
and has a continuing focus and interest in renewable energy and start-ups.
