Web Site Development: a strategic approach
Just because you spend the money to design and put it online, a website does not
feel a personal sense of obligation to make you money.
Building an Internet presence is a complex process. The scope, functionality and
performance of a web site go well beyond good looks or high fees. Each business
is unique and being able to reflect that in an web presence, not only makes a site
stand out from the crowd, but it also represents the first step towards a successful online experience.
The first thing we would like you to do before you contact us for details on our
design, consulting and service packages, please consult
our ratecard.
With this info at hand, and, before we proceed with building your new web site, we
now need to know from you what it is that you expect to accomplish with your online
presence, as well as general information regarding the content that you intend to
provide. Using this information we can correctly assess the cost of designing your
site. If you do not get an estimate at the same time that you first call us, it is
because you may have very specific needs. In that case it may take a couple of days
before you get it. We do not need to meet for this preliminary process and there is
no cost to you when you ask for such estimate. If you accept the proposal we will
then meet to discuss specifics.
As we meet, we consider that the development process
has begun. As a commitment to the project, at this time we will ask you to pay the
non-refundable deposit suggested in the proposal.
If you plan to do a certain amount of business over
the internet, now we will also discuss recommendations regarding the not-so-visible
mechanisms that connect your site's architecture with its strategy. It is here where
the future performance of your site is seeded.
